We met on the Woodbridge river wall by The Bandstand at 0530hrs.
The worship this year was as usual led by Woodbridge Salvation Army. The musicians of the Woodbridge Corps were ably supported by more young brass players from Leiston. . after the service all are invited for refreshments in the nearby Deben Yacht Club. Following a hearty rendition of Charles Wesley's 'Christ the Lord is risen today' we has short prayers, a modern hymn by the Salvationist John Gowans, a then short address from Russell Pipe our Salvation Army Leader. The short service was concluded by the ever popular Graham Kendrick hymn 'Shine Jesus Shine'. There followed refreshments in the Deben Yacht Club where we reflected that this was the last service to be led by Russell and Phoebe Pipe. We wish them well in their forthcoming retirement. Many thanks also to the members of the Deben Yacht Club for allowing the use of their wonderful facilites. The Woodbridge River Wall is indeed a wonderful location. Especially on Easter Morning.
